Suggestions/Recommendations
If lights stay
on
after a global command make sure they aren't attached to a
control box with an address higher than what you have told Dasher you have
connected to the computer.
One
good rule to follow is that one global command is followed by another, opposite
global command. However, this won't always fit the situation.
Try
to group together channels that will change at the same time and, if possible,
keep them in one control box. If the channels that are changing cover more
than one control box, use control boxes that have addresses next to each other
(for example, control boxes 6 & 7).
When
inserting or deleting columns try do these operations as close to the right edge
of the grid as possible. This will speed these operations up.
Do
not place a period (.) in any of your folder / subdirectory names where
Dasher is stored. Otherwise Dasher will not load .DSH and .DPL files via
file associations.
Want
an easy way to "randomly" fill an area on a grid? Just hold down
a key on the keyboard and rapidly move your mouse around the grid.
It
is possible to have more than one scheduler open at a time on one
computer. Just make sure to schedule the playback of each play list at a
different time, ensuring there is at least 1 second between the stop time of one
scheduler and the start time of the next.
